
Nigerian midfielder, John Ogu, made a goalscoring Uefa Champions League debut for his Israeli side, Hapoel Beer Sheva, as they beat FC Sheriff of Moldova 3-2 on Tuesday.

Ogu, who has played in the Europa Cup with Academica de Coimbra of Portugal, equalised for his team two minutes before the break to tie the game at 1-1.
Beer Sheva captain, Elivan Barda, made it 2-0 from the spot in the 52nd minute before Beer Sheva were pegged back by Josip Brezovec’s goal just after the hour mark.
The Israeli champions were able to get the winner in the 90th minute of the game through another spot kick which was converted by Maharan Radi to give Beer Sheva a 3-2 home win.
Nigerian striker, Anthony Nwakaeme, also started the game for the Israeli side albeit he was not on target but had a decent game.
Hapoel Beer Sheva will have a tough task ahead in the second leg when they travel to Moldova to face FC Sheriff .
