Moyes sign two players from Man Utd

Manchester United have confirmed the departures of Paddy McNair and Donald Love to fellow Premier League side Sunderland for a combined fee of £5.5 million.

The pair have been heavily tipped to reunite with former Manchester United boss David Moyes in the North East and the double swoop has finally been confirmed this morning.

20-year-old McNair signed for the Red Devils back in 2011 after being spotted by the club’s scouts, but he had to wait until Louis van Gaal’s first season in charge to make his first-team bow. naijabet.com

The young centre-back made his senior debut for United in 2014 against West Ham in a 2-1 Premier League victory at Old Trafford, after Van Gaal was hit with a series of injuries at the back.

Meanwhile, over a year later Love made his first-team bow, also under the Dutchman, in a 2-1 defeat  – incidentally against Sunderland – at the Stadium of Light in February of this year.

Both players have put pen to paper on four-year deals at the Stadium of Light and new manager Moyes was full of praise for the duo.

“Paddy is a young, athletic player who is improving all the time. He has experience for Northern Ireland and we want to bring as many international players to the club as we can.

“Donald comes highly recommended and is another young player who I hope can develop and improve here.

“I want to add some young players to the squad as well as some senior players and both of them have got really good potential and the opportunity to improve. I want to bring in players who are here for the long-term as well as the short and hopefully these two are here for the long-term.”
