Ghana midfielder Thomas Partey has signed a three-year contract extension at Atletico Madrid, that will take him through to 2022.
The Ghana star has anchored himself as a key member of Diego Simeone’s squad after previously playing for Real Mallorca and Almeria, on loan.
But now he’s made 31 appearances for the capital club. “I am very happy with my new contract and grateful for the faith shown in me,” Partey said of the new contract. Naija and Bet

The deal is certainly reward for his swashbuckling showings for his country at the recently-ended Afcon, too, as the 23-year-old was easily among Ghana’s top four players during the tournament.
