Ramires: I never received an offer from Inter

Jiangsu Suning and ex-Chelsea midfielder Ramires has admitted that there was no loan offer from Inter in January.

The Brazilian left the West London side in January 2016 for Chinese Super League side Jiangsu Suning, where he has since scored 16 goals in 70 matches.

Ramires was linked with a loan move to Inter in the most recent transfer window, but no deal was able to be agreed between the sides – with Jiangsu unwilling to let go of one of their star players.

The Chinese side signed the midfielder for a then-record fee of £25m.

Since both Jiangsu and Inter are owned by the Suning group, there was speculation that he would be able to transfer to the Serie A side for the remainder of this current season. NaijaBet.com

Talks fell through, however, with Ramires revealing that no offer was ever made.

“There was a lot of talk about it,” the 30-year-old said to Lance, as reported by Football Italia.

“In truth though no offer ever arrived to me or to the directors from Inter.

“I’m 31 and I think I still have a long time in football, I do want to return to Europe but it’s something I’ll consider when the time is right. NaijaBet.com

“Right now I’m only focused on Jiangsu, I want to respect the club and wear the colours of the team that has me under contract.

“That’s my present and what I’m thinking about now.”

Ramires also recently spoke about his desires to return to Chelsea in the near future, whom he won the Premier League, FA Cup and Champions League with.

“It’s the team that will always have a special affection and where I still have the desire to play before ending my career,” he said.
