Jadon Sancho warned to stop nutmegging senior teammates in Borussia Dortmund training

Borussia Dortmund attacker and England youth international Jadon Sancho has said he has been told to stop nutmegging players in training after his teammates complained about it.

The 17-year-old Londoner, who left for Germany last summer in a £10m deal from Manchester City, has made six appearances for the Bundesliga giants this term.

And the exciting prospect revealed how his Dortmund colleagues became fed up with his penchant for the nutmeg, and how he feels that his game has been elevated since his move across the North Sea. NaijaBet.com

“I nutmegged the captains of Dortmund (Marcel Schmelzer) and City (Vincent Kompany) and they said ‘don’t do that again’. They don’t like it,” Sancho told  JD Football.

“I was always skillful as a youngster but now I don’t do skills as much because the game has got quicker and it’s more serious. NaijaBet

“Getting my first league call-up was a big opportunity. I just wanted to express myself. I’m more mature now, I know when to release the ball. I’m not greedy but I just want to show what I can do.”

After a slow start the player began to find some game time for the German side, earning six league appearances and making his first assist in a 1-1 draw against Hertha Berlin in January.

The starlet moved to Westfalenstadion after a successful Under-17 World Cup campaign with England, where the young Three Lions side beat Spain in the final. NaijaBet.com
