Manchester City midfielder Fernandinho believes this current City side will be remembered in 100 years time for their record-breaking achievements.
Pep Guardiola’s side have been in formidable form this season, breaking a host of records en-route to winning the Premier League title with five games to spare.

Fernandinho – who has been one of City’s understated stars this season – believes that this extremely talented Guardiola team will be remembered in the years to come, perhaps even a century later.
Speaking to reporters (via ESPN) Fernandinho said: “It’s a fact, we have a clear chance to break those records and we have to go for it. Otherwise it doesn’t make sense to play football anymore.
“In 100 years it will be remembered that Manchester City in 2017-18 broke all those records and played amazing football.”
Alongside their league triumph, City also won the Carabao Cup back in February with a 3-0 thrashing of Arsene Wenger’s Arsenal side.
They have also scored 102 league goals, which means they are just two away from breaking the all-time scoring record in the Premier League.
