Arsenal forward Alex Iwobi has admitted he is “excited” to work with new Gunners boss Unai Emery after the departure of long-term previous incumbent Arsene Wenger.
But despite the tournament in Russia now coming into view, Iwobi has suggested he is looking forward to the commencement of domestic football, under the tutelage of new manager Unai Emery.
“[Wenger] has been there for me since I joined the club and has been very inspirational and influential on my career, but I am excited having our new manager next season,” Iwobi said, via Goal.
“The fact I am representing them now is like a dream come true. I am always proud to wear the Arsenal colours, and long may it continue.”
Despite that saliency in Wenger’s plans last term, however, Iwobi only struck three times last term, with the hope from many at the club that the youngster has more to give in the coming years.
