Manchester City winger Leroy Sane has registered the quickest sprint in the Premier League since records began in 2013-14.
According to the Premier League’s official website, Sane reached a top speed of 35.48km/h during September’s 1-0 win over Chelsea. To put that into perspective, Sane’s record is only a few km/h shy of the average speed that Jamaican sprinter Usain Bolt registered at the 2009 World Championships in Berlin, where he reached a speed of 44.72km/h to record a time of 9.58 in the 100 metres.
Sane’s sprint at Stamford Bridge saw the German edge out Leicester City’s Jamie Vardy, who had previoulsy held the record after he reached 35.44 km/h against West Ham United in August 2015
Who are the quickest sprinters for the other top four clubs?
Paul Pogba
Club: Manchester United.
Top speed: 34.68 km/h.

Pogba has managed to edge out speedsters Marcus Rashford, Antonio Valencia and Anthony Martial at Old Trafford this season. The Frenchman’s long legs and powerful upper body has seen him race away from his markers with electric bursts of pace in the middle of the park. United fans, however, will be disappointed that his record transfer fee has not been matched by more meaningful records on the pitch this season. NaijaBet.com
Moussa Sissoko
Club: Tottenham Hotspur
Top Speed: 35.33 km/h

When Spurs forked out £30m for Sissoko, Mauricio Pochettino said he wanted the type of player who could “break the line” and help his side become more direct. Sissoko has certainly lived up to his manager’s expectations in that regard, as he has been lightening quick this season. Despite this, the French midfielder has somewhat failed to leave an overall positive impression on the Spurs faithful since his switch from Tyneside to north London. NaijaBet.com
Sadio Mane
Club: Liverpool
Top Speed: 34.84 km/h
