Jadon Sancho became the youngest Englishman to score a Bundesliga goal on Saturday when he opened the scoring for Borussia Dortmund against Bayer Leverkusen.
But Sancho, formerly of Manchester City, capped it off with his first goal for the club, and the first by an Englishman, capitalising on a slip from Leverkusen defender Benjamin Henrichs to give his side a half-time lead following Christian Pulisic’s pass.
Aged 18 years and 27 days old, Sancho is also the 19th-youngest scorer in Bundesliga history and he went on to assist two goals in Dortmund’s 4-0 win over Leverkusen.

On the same day, Bayern Munich striker Robert Lewandowksi scored his 105th league goal for the reigning champions, the most by any non-German player for one club in the history of the Bundesliga.
…but wasn’t the only Bayern player to do so
Bayern’s 3-0 win over Hannover, who faced heavily changed line-up set out by Jupp Heynckes ahead of their Champions League semi-final first leg against Real Madrid, also saw the first player born in the 2000s represent the club.
Only Roque Santa Cruz, Berkant Goktan, Gianluca Gaudino, Toni Kroos, David Alaba and Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg made their Bundesliga debuts for the club at a younger age.
