Andreas Pereira has turned down the opportunity to join Valencia on a permanent basis as he wants to succeed at Manchester United.
Despite this, AS reported that Pereira’s agent Kia Joorabchian met with Valencia representatives this month to discuss a possible move for the Belgian-born attacking midfielder in the summer.

He told the South China Morning Post: “Valencia approached my agent and said they want to buy me, which is flattering, but it wasn’t like it was reported in the media.
“The Valencia coach [Marcelino] speaks with me a lot and we have a good understanding, but as far as I’m concerned, I’m still a Manchester United player with a contract at Old Trafford until 2020 and an ambition to make it at United.
“I’ve never sought to leave United.”
The midfielder has endured a somewhat sporadic season, starting only 11 La Liga matches, though he has played 21 times in total, scoring one goal and registering three assists in the process.
Valencia have been in excellent form this season, sitting fourth only two points behind third-placed Real Madrid, while their place in next season’s Champions League looks a certainty as they are currently 11 points ahead of Real Betis in fifth, albeit while playing a game more.
