
Liverpool legend Steven Gerrard has opened up about the possibility of entering his first senior managerial job with Rangers after confirming talks have taken place.
Appearing as a pundit for BT Sport’s coverage of the Champions League semi-final second leg between Real Madrid and Bayern Munich, Gerrard reaffirmed the rumours.

“Yeah there’s truth in the rumours,” Gerrard told the BT Sports panel, consisting of Gary Lineker, Rio Ferdinand and Frank Lampard.
“Yeah there is (an interest), as I said I’ve held positive talks with them.
“The plan, obviously I’m busy for a couple of days now, but I’ll pick it up on Thursday and see if I can progress it.”
The Light Blues have been desperate to rediscover their former glory days having dropped to the lowest tier of Scottish football in 2012 after the club fell into liquidation.
Rangers host Kilmarnock this weekend before facing successive crunch clashes with Aberdeen and Hibernian, as all three clubs battle out for the runners-up position in the Scottish Premiership.
