Renato Sanches will get another chance to improve at Bayern Munich under new manager Niko Kovac, according to club CEO Karl-Heinz Rummenigge.
This poor form saw him miss out on Portugal’s provisional squad for the World Cup, just two years after he impressed in their Euro 2016 win – which initially earned him the move to Bayern.
“He’s coming back,” he told German publication Merkur.
“Niko Kovac will try to bring him back to former strength, which is an exciting job.”
Bayern won the Bundesliga for the sixth year in a row this season, finishing 21 points ahead of second-placed Schalke and will look to make it a double with the DFB-Pokal, facing Eintracht Frankfurt – managed by incoming boss Kovac – in the final on Saturday.

But the Portuguese midfielder created just six chances in his time with Swansea, averaging 0.8 chances created per 90 minutes, with no assists.
