Chelsea manager, Antonio Conte has spoken about his admiration for Nigeria international winger, Victor Moses.
Conte’s words of praise comes on the back of the Blues’ 3-0 win against Leicester City in the English Premier League on Saturday as the Italian hailed the winger’s ability to adapt to his new wing-back position.
Moses has broken into the Chelsea team this term after spending the last three seasons out on loan at Liverpool, Stoke and West Ham and started in place of Willian – who was granted compassionate leave – for the visit of the champions on Saturday.
Moses re-paid Conte’s faith in his ability with a fine goal in the 80th minute, his third in all competitions this season, to help Chelsea seal a 3-0 win in the lunchtime kick-off. Naijabet.com
Conte admitted after the match that he has been pleased with the way the 25-year-old has handled playing as a wing-back in the club’s last two games and hinted he could opt to stick with the 3-4-3 formation for the league game against Manchester United side next weekend.
“When I arrived at Chelsea, I asked the club to see Moses in pre-season. I knew him very well and his reputation.
“He played a good game as a winger when we played the 4-2-4. He is a very good player.
“Now he is playing wing-back and it’s fantastic for us because he has great attention in the defensive situation and can go one against one in attack,” Conte said in the post-match press conference.
