Man City boss Pep Guardiola is a “coward” and a “dog” – Mino Raiola

Football agent Mino Raiola has launched a scathing verbal assault on Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola, calling the Spaniard a “coward” and a “dog.”

Raiola is the agent to a number of Manchester United players including the likes of Paul Pogba and Romelu Lukaku, as well as the recently departed Zlatan Ibrahimovic – who signed for LA Galaxy last week.

The 50-year-old did not hold back when expressing his assessment of the City manager’s personality, in this latest episode of the long-running conflict between Guardiola and the Ibrahimovic camp, stemming from their time together at Barcelona. NaijaBet.com

This friction developed in 2011 when Guardiola, in the opinion of Ibrahimovic, opted to make Lionel Messi the focal point of his Barca side at the expense of others, resulting in a number of arguments between the pair. The Swede eventually left the Camp Nou for AC Milan.

Seven years on, and it seems Raiola still holds a grudge for depriving his client of a Champions League medal, which the 36-year-old would have won had he stayed with Barca that season. NaijaBet.com

“Pep Guardiola, the coach, is fantastic. As a person he’s an absolute zero. He’s a coward, a dog,” Raiola said, reports the Independent.

“He’s a classic priest. ‘Do as I tell you – don’t do what I do….’ If Manchester City win the Champions League this season it will emphasise what a good coach he is – but I’ll hate it.

“I went for him that night in the corridors at Wembley [after Barcelona beat Manchester United in the Champions League final in 2011] – only Adriano Galliani, AC Milan’s chairman, stopped me. Lucky for Guardiola. NaijaBet.com

“Guardiola told Zlatan to go to him if he ever had any problems or complaints. But then he just ignored him and wasn’t playing him. He didn’t even say: ‘Hello’ to Zlatan.

“Guardiola did the same to Maxwell who is a lovely lad. So I told Zlatan to go and park his Ferrari in the manager’s spot!”

Ibrahimovic went on to win the Serie A title and the Supercoppa Italia with Milan after leaving the Catalonian giants, before then moving to PSG, where he picked up four Ligue 1 titles, two Coupe de France trophies, three Coupe de la Ligues, as well as three Trophée des Champions.

The Swede then joined Manchester United in 2016. There, he won the League Cup and Europa League in his first season at Old Trafford. NaijaBet.com
