Barcelona have announced that Javier Mascherano will extend his contract until June 2019 on Monday.
The 32-year-old had already informally agreed to renew his contract in the summer, but Barca’s statement confirms he will remain with the club for a further two and a half years. Naija and Bet
Mascherano joined Barcelona from Liverpool in 2010 and has gone on to make nearly 300 appearances, though remains without a goal for the Catalans.
In six seasons, the Argentine has won four Liga titles and two Champions League crowns.
