The Black Cats gaffer has given his verdict on the impact of social media in football after the Nigeria international made a mess of his Twitter page over the weekend
Sunderland boss David Moyes has down played the effect of social media in football management in the wake of Victor Anichebe’s ridiculous post.
The 28-year old forward who has only managed to make only two substitute appearances for Sunderland this season was guilty of copying and pasting a message in expressing his thought after their loss to West Ham over the weekend. Naija and Bet
Moyes in a press conference ahead of the Black Cats trip to the St. Mary’s Stadium dismissed the involvement of football coaches on Twitter.
“I don’t do Twitter. I actually think it’s not been a good thing for football managers. I don’t know what industries Twitter has helped or not helped,” Moyes said
A Winston Reid’s late goal at the Stadium of Light over the weekend prompted the former Nigeria u23 forward to copy and post a full message believed to be sent by an online guru after the loss.
“Can you tweet something like – unbelievable support yesterday and great effort by the lads! Hard result to take! But we go again!,” Anichebe had tweeted on his Twitter page.
