Five of the best strikes in his first Liverpool season.

Liverpool’s Egyptian sensation, Mohamed Salah joined the Merseyside club on a five-year deal worth €35 million from Roma at the start of the season. He has adapted to life at Anfield with ease, notching a staggering 32 goals in the Premier League 

A quick, skillful, attacking player, Salah, has broken a number of club records during his time so far at Liverpool.

The ‘Egyptian King’ has proved his worth and has been a brilliant acquisition by Jurgen Klopp, who has helped him play closer to goal and, has rewarded his manager with the Premier League’s Golden Boot and the European Golden Shoe this season.

Along with Salah, Mane and Firmino have also played a huge part in Liverpool’s rampant attacking game.

#5 Against Arsenal at Anfield

Right at the start of the season, Liverpool welcomed Arsenal to Anfield, in what was the first real test of the season for both sides. Liverpool came out on top with a brilliant 4-0 victory over the Gunners, who looked all over the place defensively.

Salah scored the third goal of four, dribbling the length of a half, only to be met by the onrushing goalkeeper Petr Cech, at the edge of the penalty area, and neatly and calmly tucked the ball in the bottom corner.

 

#4 Against Spurs at Anfield

Liverpool and Tottenham were on the verge of playing out a 1-1 draw at Anfield late in the season.

Mo Salah scored the first goal for Liverpool, as he picked the ball up on the edge of the penalty area surrounded by three players, he glided past them, only to be met by a fourth defender, who is sidestepped before he smashed the ball into the roof of the net, from an acute angle in the first minute of stoppage time after the ninety. 

The goal was a remarkable goal, although, the game still ended in a draw as Harry Kane equalized from a late penalty kick. However, the close control and skill displayed by the striker to score the goal were top draw.

 

#3 Against Stoke at the Brittania Stadium

When Stoke welcomed Liverpool to the Britannia Stadium, the home side was mauled by the opposition. Salah scored a tremendous volley that fired past the keeper in the goal, from an incoming cross from the byline via Sadio Mane. 

Liverpool strolled to win in a location considered to one of the hardest to gain a result. Despite Stoke getting relegated this season, the Britannia has been a fortress for the club.

#2 Against Everton at Anfield

In his first Merseyside derby, the Egyptian produced a moment of sublime quality, skipping past a couple of defenders, to make a yard before firing a curling effort to the far corner.

The Egyptian has done everything right in his first season at the club and will be relishing the Champions League final against Real Madrid, before heading off to the World Cup.

 

#1 Against Roma at Anfield

The Champions League semi-final first leg at Anfield against his previous employers, Roma, was a special night for the little man from Egypt.

He produced a sensational display of overall football and scored two goals, one of which was a gem from the right side of the penalty area, that he bent into the top corner of Alisson’s net with his left foot.

Liverpool won the tie 7-6 and progressed to the Champions League final.
