Liverpool full-back Trent Alexander-Arnold has revealed how difficult it is facing Mohamed Salah during the club’s training matches.
Alexander-Arnold has played a key role in the club’s European ascent this season despite his Egyptian teammate stealing the headlines, and such is the brilliance of Salah that the 19-year-old has admitted he faces problems trying to contain the winger in training.
“That’s what he does day in, day out. It’s just become second nature to him now and it’s a credit to him.”
He added: “We’re really happy to be playing with him rather than against him.”
Currently leading the chase for the Premier League Golden Boot with 31 goals, Salah’s performances have also seen him claim the PFA Player of the Year accolade this week.
Liverpool face Premier League strugglers Stoke City this weekend with manager Jurgen Klopp likely to rotate his side in preparation for the Reds’ second-leg tie against Roma in the Italian capital on Wednesday night.
