Manchester United confident over beating FC Barcelona to the signing of Willian 




The Sun reports that Manchester United believe they can beat Barcelona to the signing of Willian. The Brazilian winger has emerged as a top target for two giants of world football and is expected to leave Chelsea after five seasons with the club. He is valued at around £70 million by the Blues.

Barcelona are impressed by Willian’s performances last season and have already made an approach to the club. Meanwhile, it is reported that Manchester United are ready to open the bidding at £60 million for the winger with Jose Mourinho desperate for a reunion with his former Chelsea colleague. 

United have made signing a winger as their top priority with Mourinho supposedly losing confidence in Anthony Martial. With Brazil’s contribution now over in the ongoing World Cup, Willian’s future is expected to be resolved in the next few weeks.

Sadio Mane coy on Real Madrid links 

With Cristiano Ronaldo closing in on a move to Juventus, Real Madrid are plotting a move to acquire his replacement. Eden Hazard and Sadio Mane are touted to be on Madrid’s radar. But the Liverpool forward has now admitted that he is just concentrating on the new season with the Reds. 

Mane was quoted by Goal as saying, “I remain a Liverpool player and I will join my team-mates in the United States for the pre-season tour. Real are a great team, but I am focused on my team, Liverpool.” Mane has scored 33 goals in two seasons at Anfield.

Arsenal remain in talks with Sampdoria for the transfer of Lucas Torreira

Sky Sports revealed that Arsenal are currently embroiled in talks with Sampdoria over Lucas Torreira’s signature. The Gunners are confident that Uruguay’s ouster from the World Cup will speed up his move to London. The player is reportedly ready to move to the Premier League.

It has been understood that personal terms have already been agreed upon with both the clubs almost in agreement over a £26 million deal. Torreira has been at Sampdoria for the past three seasons and made 38 appearances for them last campaign. 

AC Milan sign Alen Halilovic

The Rossoneri have completed the signing of former FC Barcelona starlet Alen Halilovic. The Croatian playmaker joins AC Milan on a three-year deal. Halilovic joined Barcelona in 2014 but made just one appearance for the Catalans. The 22-year-old spent the last two seasons on loan at Las Palmas and Hamburg. He is AC Milan’s third summer signing.

Bundesliga

Emil Forsberg on Everton’s radar

Everton are preparing a summer move for RB Leipzig and Sweden star, Emile Forsberg. The Daily Star has reported that the Toffees will have to churn out around £25 million for the forward who recently signed an extension with the Bundesliga side.

Everton are looking to exploit Leipzig’s interest in Ademola Lookman to work out a deal for Forsberg. Leipzig have already seen a £12 million bid for the young winger fall on deaf ears. 

West Ham United make a move for Andriy Yarmolenko

Sky Sports have reported that the Hammers have made a £17.5 million bid for Borussia Dortmund forward Andriy Yarmolenko. It is believed that both the clubs have already agreed upon a fee while Yarmolenko is a medical and a work permit away from playing in the Premier League. The Ukrainian made 30 appearances for Dortmund last season.

La Liga

FC Barcelona receive a €80 million offer for Ivan Rakitic

Ivan Rakitic has been an integral member for FC Barcelona since his move to the club and has been producing consistent displays for Croatia in the World Cup. And his good form has not gone unnoticed. According to Don Balon, Bayern Munich have submitted a huge offer to take Rakitic on board.

It has been claimed that Bayern Munich are looking to offer Rakitic a four-year deal worth €9 million per year in wages to lure him to Germany. The Bavarians have made a €80 million to FC Barcelona. With Arthur Melo on his way to the club, Rakitic may well decide to leave the Catalans this summer. 

Luka Modric confident over Cristiano Ronaldo’s future at Real Madrid

The Croatian midfielder seemed confident over Cristiano Ronaldo’s future at the Bernabeu. Ronaldo is the centre of attraction for a €100 million bid from Juventus. But Modric believes that the Portuguese hitman will stay put at Real Madrid.




Modric told Sky Sports, “I don’t think he’s going to go and I would like him to stay because he’s the best player in the world. He means a lot and hopefully, he will stay. It would be very good if he stayed because I can’t imagine him in any other European team.”

Neymar asks PSG for the signing of Luis Suarez

It is widely believed that Edinson Cavani will no longer be in the PSG roster next season. With Neymar now all set to stay at the club, the Brazilian has asked the club to sign Barcelona forward and his good friend, Luis Suarez at the club.

Sport understands that PSG will be inclined to move for Suarez at Neymar’s behest. The club believes that Suarez’s on-field relationship with Neymar can inspire the club to a solid season in Europe.

Manchester United interested in Hirving Lozano

One of the success stories of the World Cup – Hirving Lozano has attracted interest from Manchester United. Tuttomercatoweb has claimed that United are now ready to make a £40 million bid for the Mexican forward. The PSV Eindhoven man has also been linked with FC Barcelona in the past few days.
