Lorenzo Insigne trolls Juventus after dramatic 1-0 win in Serie A

Napoli forward Lorenzo Insigne rubbed salt into Juventus‘ wound following their emotional victory in Turin by referencing the Old Lady’s poor Champions League final record.

Maurizio Sarri’s men sensationally kept their championship dreams alive by running out narrow 1-0 winners courtesy of a 90th minute Kalidou Koulibaly header.

For many it felt like a final and when a reporter asked Insigne if Juve approached the game like “a Champions League Final and lose it?” he couldn’t resist a dig.

“They’re used to it!” came Insigne’s reply, via Football Italia.

Napoli’s run-in

It remains to be seen who has the last laugh. Juve, who have lost their last five European Cup finals, are gunning for a seventh consecutive Scudetto and presently sit a point ahead of second-place Napoli with four Serie A matches remaining this season.

The Little Donkeys, last champions of Italy in 1990 with Diego Maradona as their on-field leader, visit Fiorentina (29 April) this weekend – looking to extend their unbeaten run on the road to 31 matches – before entertaining Juve’s city rivals Torino (6 May).

A trip to Sampdoria (13 May) follows with Napoli’s season culminating at home against Crotone (May 20) with the possibility of the championship still yet to be decided.
